With the current road resurfacing works on Perth Road taking place between Sinderins and West Park Road, a number of constituents have asked me when other parts of Perth Road (much of which is in poor condition) will be resurfaced.
The council’s Roads Maintenance Partnership has updated me as follows :
“Works were originally programmed for 20 June 2016 commencement to resurface the carriageway in the Nethergate between Marketgait and South Tay Street. However we have delayed these works until Scottish Water have confirmed completion of their works, and allowing time for any initial settlement of their reinstatements, we therefore propose February/March 2017 as a likely date for our works.
Regarding Queen’s Hotel to Sinderins, I can advise the following based on continuation of current funding levels and annual programme review :
South Tay Street to Roseangle – resurfacing works completed in 2013/14, 4800sqm approx.
Roseangle to Blackness Avenue – resurfacing re-programmed and now proposed for 2017/18.
West Park Road to Botanics Garden – patch and surface dressing proposed for 2017/18.
Botanics Garden to Ninewells Avenue- patch and surface dressing proposed for 2019/20.”
