It was with great sadness that I learned earlier today of the passing of Trixie Thomson of Perth Road.
Trixie was well into her nineties was a much-loved member of the West End community over many years.
She was the daughter of Frank Thomson and granddaughter of James Thomson, both hugely renowned architects, who, between them, left a lasting and positive legacy in Dundee – the Logie estate, the City Square, the Kingsway, Blackness and Coldside Libraries being examples.
Trixie herself led an interesting and fulfilled life and travelled widely with her sister Gertie. She will be sadly missed and long and fondly remembered.
