Getting things done – Briarwood Terrace #dundeewestend

Residents recently contacted me regarding some less than satisfactory pothole repairs in the badly deteriorated road in Briarwood Terrace.

I contacted the City Council’s Roads Maintenance Partnership about this and was advised :

“The pothole repairs are very difficult on such a poor surface and they are as good as we can do with the road in its current state.”

However, the very good news is that this poor conditioned roadway will be completely resurfaced this financial year, likely to take place in November.

Getting things done …Briarwood Terrace

Yesterday, along with a constituent, I took part in a site meeting in Briarwood Terrace, off West Park Road, with two engineers from the City Council’s City Development Department.

This was in response to complaints about the very poor, deteriorating road surface in the street – see right.

The council officers confirmed that the road here has been “conditioned scored” for possible inclusion in future road reconstruction given its deteriorated state.    We were also advised that sections of the pavement are scheduled for improvement later in the year.
