Getting things done – Westfield Lane and Perth Road #dundeewestend

I have received complaints about the neglected area of ground on Perth Road at the top of Westfield Lane.

The site owned by JC Decaux who used to have an advertising hoarding there.

I contacted the company about this and have had the following helpful reply :

“I have asked for the regional team to attend to tidy the site.”

Getting things done – Seafield Road and Westfield Lane #dundeewestend

Residents have highlighted that the path that connects the lane from Seafield Road (38 to 48) to the grassy area towards the bottom end of Westfield Lane becomes ‘a bit of a mud pit’ when it rains (as one resident accurately put it).

The lane itself is not a City Council adopted pathway but I have asked environment management who own the grass area if the surface of this short length of path to the grass area could be improved.

Temporary Traffic Order – Westfield Lane

From the City Council :

Dundee City Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of facilitating building repair works.  The Order is expected to be in force for 5 weeks from 22nd October 2019.  Its maximum duration in terms of the Act is eighteen months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in Westfield Lane for its entire length.
An alternative route will be available via Perth Road, Seafield Road and Seafield Road Car Park.
Please forward any comments you may have regarding this proposal to the Network Management Team, City Development Department, Dundee House, 50 North Lindsay Street, Dundee, DD1 1LS or call 433082.
